We will discuss session ideas, clothing options and ways for you to display your portraits. You are welcome to bring clothing options with you to discuss what may work. We also encourage you to bring snapshots of rooms in your home, to give us an idea of where your wall portrait may be displayed and how this session will compliment your décor.

Planning your Session
A beautifully done portrait creates a visual impact in a home, an tells the world about the people you love. In our home, the portrait of my husband and two boys brings me great pleasure every day! Let us create something beautiful for your home.
There are many things to be considered when designing a wall portrait. Here are a few questions to consider . . .
Should the style be formal or casual?
Where would you like to be photographed? Studio, outdoor, in your home, etc…
What color clothing would complement the room décor?
Where will your portrait be hung?
What size and shape will work best?
Would you like to include your family pets?
While planning out your session may take a bit of time, it can be fun and will be rewarding when you have your beautiful personalized wall décor in your home!
Three Stages of Portraiture
Prior to your portrait session, a design consultation is recommended. (either in person or by phone) This is where you will work together with Vanessa to understand your style, preferences, and show you the many ways you can present your home decor. Each portrait is a blank canvas and the creative possibilities are endless.
Each session requires a $100 creative retainer to reserve your time and date. Full payment of the session fee is payable at the time of the session.
The final stage of your portrait experience is getting to choose your favorite poses to grace your walls and give to your loved ones! Vanessa will help you narrow down to the very best ones and design storyboards and custom portrait products that show off the beauty of your images.

Booking your Session
Once you have chosen The Helders for your portraits, Call our studio at (530) 743-6539 to discuss ideas, prices and reserve a date and time for your session. A $100 creative retainer is payable when you reserve your session time. This retainer will apply to your portrait order. Session fees are due at the time of the session.
After the session, you will be able to view your images and decide what you would like to order. You may choose from beautiful metallic prints, canvas wall art, albums and much more. The amount you choose to invest is completely up to you; only buy what you love!
